About this simulation
Educational simulation, not for clinical use. The body is a real arterial-phase CT: C4KC-KiTS case KiTS-00151, segmented with TotalSegmentator. Its own contrast is removed so the image starts as a native run.
The arteries are this patient's own: vessels brighter than 200 HU (150 HU inside the liver) that connect to the aorta were extracted from the CT and reduced to a centreline tree, and the main branches were named by where they go. The left hepatic arteries were too faint to extract, so the left hepatic tree is grown to fill this patient's left liver. The left kidney tumour, its vessels and the arteries inside the kidneys are left out.
The image is a computed X-ray projection with no scatter. Beyond the CT's first and last slices (heart to mid pelvis) the edge slices are repeated. The preset view angles are placeholders, not yet taken from a published source.
